Americans not taking advantage of Smartphone's capabilities

Suddenly everbody is publishing data about smartphones and age.

This just arrived from Harris Interactive is data about the differences in the uptake of smartphone advanced features by the age of the user.

What interested me are the numbers in the row: "I have never scanned my mobile of smart phone for any reason". It is surprisingly consistent across the age groups. OK, the 18-35 years olds are leading the way on an application like scanning but in truth it is only the early adopters in that age cohort, who are a small group compared to their technologial luddite peers.
